How it was made
Challenge
The brand sells a men's wellness product for a problem most couples find hard to talk about. Direct, clinical ads feel uncomfortable, so the brand needed a way to address the topic with warmth instead of embarrassment.
Research
Focused on the emotional side of the problem: the distance and quiet frustration it creates between partners, and the feeling that it's a personal failure rather than something solvable.
Strategy
Personified the problem as a grumpy furry monster sitting between the couple on the couch. That separates the issue from the people, so the message becomes that the problem was never between them, and the product is what removes it.
Creative Direction
Chose a 3D Pixar-style animated look to make a sensitive subject approachable and emotional. The story moves from tension, with the couple sitting apart and the monster in the middle, to the man holding the product, to the couple close together again with the closing line "The problem was never between you."
Execution
Created the key frames with ChatGPT image generation, animated them with Higgsfield and Seedance 2.5, and compiled the final cut in CapCut with light editing to bring out the emotion of each beat.
Lessons Learned
When a topic is sensitive, a character can say what a person can't. Giving the problem a face made the ad emotional instead of awkward.
