How it was made
Challenge
Landing pages convert better with photos of real-looking customers holding the product, but organizing shoots with real customers is slow and expensive. The client needed believable customer photos, delivered fast.
Research
Studied what makes a customer photo feel genuine instead of staged: front-camera framing, everyday home backgrounds, natural skin texture with visible pores, and the slight softness of a phone camera.
Strategy
Built a set of distinct, relatable customer personas who match the brand's audience, each photographed in their own everyday setting. Together they read as social proof rather than a single model.
Creative Direction
Directed every image as a casual selfie: arm's-length framing, the bottle held naturally toward the camera with the label readable, warm genuine smiles, and lived-in homes, kitchens and backyards. Imperfections were kept on purpose, because flawless skin and studio lighting are what give AI away.
Execution
Generated the images with Google Labs Flow and Higgsfield, run through an automated workflow so new personas and variations can be produced quickly whenever the client asks.
Lessons Learned
For landing-page photos, perfect is the enemy of believable. Pores, slight blur and an ordinary background do more for trust than any amount of polish.
